However a while ago I came across something in an apricot.
More recently I checked a cashew and found this:
I assumed that that worm or maggot or whatever it is was dead. But then I poked or moved it and it started wriggling!! (shudder) You'll have to take my word for it; I didn't have the presence of mind to video it too.

For this reason I am insanely neurotic about cracking open cashews before eating them. I don't think I've ever had a batch of cashews where there wasn't at least one infested nut. Apricots, not so much, but as you witness, it does happen.
